The best of what you may not have seen during today's games, but should have.

1. Bully Shapes Up. Mississippi State 's 28-10 win over Auburn was no doubt inspired in part by the intense pregame dedication of MSU's live bulldog mascot, who worked the underwater treadmill with style and passion. Bully, u look good, bb! – Matt Hinton

2. Penn State's latest bad break. Many people expected the loss of high-profile transfers Silas Redd and Devon Smith in the wake of NCAA sanctions to be felt early in Penn State's season, and the offense does look like could use all the help it can get. But on Saturday, the player the Nittany Lions needed most was kicker/punter Anthony Fera, now at Texas. The new kicker, sophomore Sam Ficken, missed four of five field-goal attempts and had an extra point blocked in the fourth quarter of the Nittany Lions' 17-16 loss at Virginia, which ended with Ficken's final miss from 42 yards out as time expired. – Chip Patterson

3. Fat Guy Interception. Who doesn't love the big guys up front making plays? Well, besides Virginia quarterback Michael Rocco, who was the victim of such a play against Penn State after 6-foot-1, 292-pound defensive lineman Jordan Hill used a one-man tip drill to haul in an interception. He didn't make it to the end zone, but still, a rumblin' lineman of that size looking agile deserves a mention or two. – Bryan Fischer

4. Braxton Goes Denard. With 296 total yards and four touchdowns in State" data-canon="Ohio Bobcats" data-type="SPORTS_OBJECT_TEAM" id="shortcode0">'s 31-16 win over Central Florida, Braxton Miller's first two games as a sophomore evoke memories of Denard Robinson's brilliant early-season run in 2010. Through two games, Miller is 32-of-47 (68 percent) passing for 370 yards and 3 touchdowns, and has rushed for 302 yards and 4 TDs on 42 carries. That projects to a 2,200 passing/1,800-yard rushing season, with 42 total scores. Although Miller doesn't have Robinson's raw speed, he is less injury prone and a better passer, which will work in his favor as the season goes on. – Chris Huston


5. The Bucksquatch. After years of debate about its existence, the legendary Bucksquatch was discovered in Columbus today taking in OSU's win in Ohio Stadium. When approached for comment the Bucksquatch said "WHO IS TALKING TO ME? I CAN'T SEE ANYTHING."

No word on whether or not this discovery means the end of the History Channel as we know it. – Tom Fornelli
