Auburn 31, Louisiana-Monroe 28 (OT): The Warhawks rallied from a 28-14 deficit to force overtime, but Cody Parkey's 35-yard field goal was blocked to keep ULM (1-1) from its second straight upset of an SEC West team. Parkey's winner came after Angelo Blackson deflected ULM's 37-yard field-goal try. Onterio McCalebb ran for 128 yards and a touchdown on just 11 carries, and Tre Mason ran for 90 yards and a score on 22 carries for Auburn (1-2, 0-1 SEC West). 

Vanderbilt 58, Presbyterian 0: Zac Stacy ran for 174 yards on eight carries, and Brian Kimbrow added 134 rushing yards as the Commodores (1-2, 0-1 SEC East) got their first win against tiny Presbyterian. Austyn Carta-Samuels, starting for the inconsistent Jordan Rodgers, was 13 of 20 for 195 yards and a touchdown. Stacy took the first handoff and sprinted nearly untouched for an 86-yard score. Vanderbilt had 605 total yards.

No. 1 Alabama 52, Arkansas 0: Eddie Lacy ran for three touchdowns and the Crimson Tide (3-0, 1-0 SEC West) forced five turnovers while humbling the Razorbacks. Arkansas (1-2, 0-1 SEC West) played without star QB Tyler Wilson, who's recovering from a concussion. In his first career start, Brandon Allen was 10 of 18 for 62 yards with two interceptions. Arkansas was shut out in Fayetteville for the first time since 1966. Alabama junior AJ McCarron was 11 of 16 for 189 yards, including a 20-yard score to Amari Coooper. 

Texas A&M 48, SMU 3: Redshirt freshman Johnny Manziel threw for four touchdowns and ran for two as the Aggies (1-1, 0-1 SEC West) rolled in Dallas. Manziel was 20 of 36 for 294 yards and ran for 124 yards, including a 48-yard score. Texas A&M opened the scoring on a 29-yard pass from Manziel to Ryan Swope. Manziel, who set A&M's freshman record for passing yards in a game, did all his damage in the first three quarters. The Aggies played without RB Christine Michael and S Steven Campbell, who were suspended for violating team rules.

No. 18 Florida 37, No. 23 Tennessee 20: Holding a 14-10 halftime lead, the Vols looked to be in position to get their first signature win of the Derek Dooley era. Instead, the second half was nothing short of a meltdown for Tennessee (2-1, 0-1 SEC East). The Gators (3-0, 2-0 SEC East) outscored the Vols 27-6 the rest of the way for a surprisingly easy 37-20 win. It was their eighth straight win over the Vols. Florida QB Jeff Driskel outplayed Tennessee QB Tyler Bray. Driskel was 14 or 20 for 219 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also added eight carries for 81 yards. The Gators had 555 yards of total offense, including 336 yards rushing.

No. 8 South Carolina 49, UAB 6: Steve Spurrier got his 200th career college win as a head coach, but it was a costly victory as starting QB Connor Shaw reinjured his throwing shoulder. Shaw confirmed afterward that he has a slight fracture in his right shoulder. After Shaw left, Dylan Thompson threw a 95-yard touchdown pass to Damiere Byrd to put the Gamecocks (3-0, 1-0 SEC East) up 35-6.  WR Bruce Ellington sprained his shoulder making a diving catch and, like Shaw, is uncertain to play next week against Missouri.

Mississippi State 30, Troy 24: Tyler Russell three three touchdowns to Chad Bumphis as the Bulldogs survived a scare from Troy, which hosted an SEC team for the first time. Bumphis is the first Bulldog to catch three scoring passes since Sammy Milner did it against Florida in 1969. He had six catches for a career-best 180 yards. Mississippi State is 3-0 for the first time in 13 years.

Western Kentucky 32, Kentucky 31 (OT): The Hilltoppers used a trick play for the game-winning 2-point conversion in overtime. QB Kawaun Jakes tossed a lateral to Antonio Andrews, who threw to Jakes to end it. Wildcats QB Maxwell Smith was 37 of 60 for 332 yards, two TDs and four INTs. He led Kentucky (1-2, 0-0 SEC East) on a late 77-yard scoring drive to force overtime.

Missouri 24, Arizona State 20: With starting QB James Franklin nursing an elbow injury, Corbin Berkstresser helped the Tigers build 17-point third-quarter lead and hold on. The Tigers (2-1, 0-1 SEC East) forced four turnovers as they bounced back from last week's home loss to Georgia. Kendial Lawrence ran for two scores, and Berkstresser ran for another. T.J. Moe had eight catches for 88 yards and added a 43-yard kickoff return.

No. 7 Georgia 56, Florida Atlantic 20: Aaron Murray threw for a career-high 342 yards and accounted for four touchdowns as the Bulldogs (3-0, 1-0 SEC East) rolled after a slow start. Georgia played without All-American OLB Jarvis Jones, who rested with a groin injury. Freshman Todd Gurley ran for 111 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.

No. 3 LSU 63, Idaho 14: Ronald Martin intercepted two passes, returning one for a touchdown, as the Tigers (3-0, 0-0 SEC West) won their FBS record 40th straight nonconference game. Kenny Hilliard ran for 116 yards and two scores, and Zach Mettenberger threw for 222 yards and two TDs. Look for LSU to move up to No. 2 following USC's loss to Stanford.

No. 14 Texas 66, Ole Miss 31: The Rebels (2-1, 0-0 SEC West) had no answer for Texas QB David Ash, who threw for 326 yards and four scores. Ole Miss got a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Jaylen Walton, but QB Bo Wallace struggled, throwing two interceptions. LB Steve Edmond returned the first pick for a 22-yard score. It was the first loss for new coach Hugh Freeze after a 2-0 start.

Play of the week: On the final play of the first half, Auburn QB Kiehl Frazier scrambled to buy time, spun away from a sack and lofted a Hail Mary to the back of the end zone. Sammie Coates leaped for the 33-yard grab, giving the Tigers a 21-14 halftime lead. Auburn went on to beat Louisiana-Monroe 31-28 in overtime.

RapidReports offensive star of the week: Texas A&M QB Manziel. The redshirt freshman put on a scintillating performance at SMU, throwing for 294 yards and four touchdowns and running for 124 yards and two scores, including a 48-yarder. He broke A&M's freshman passing record of 280 yards, set by Kevin Murray in 1983.

Runner-up: Florida's Driskel. In just his second start, Driskel was nearly flawless in leading the Gators to their first win over a ranked team under Will Muschamp. Driskel was 14 of 20 for 219 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions, and ran for 81 yards. 

2nd runner-up: Auburn's McCalebb. The senior speedster ran for 128 yards on 11 carries (11.6 ypc), including a 27-yard touchdown on the Tigers’ first drive. Last week, McCalebb returned a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown.

RapidReports defensive star of the week: S Vinnie Sunseri, accepting the award for the entire Alabama defense. The Razorbacks were driving for a possible tying touchdown early in the second quarter when Sunseri intercepted Allen at the Tide 20 and returned it 13 yards. Alabama went 67 yards in six plays for a 14-0 lead, and the rout was on. Sunseri's INT was one of five turnovers forced by the Tide.

Runner-up: Auburn DT Blackson. The 6-4, 308-pound sophomore deflected ULM's 37-yard field goal try on the first possession of overtime, setting the stage for Cody Parkey's 35-yard game-winner. Earlier, Tigers DE Corey Lemonier blocked a Warhawks FG try.

His seat is getting uncomfortable: Chizik. Although Auburn got its first win, the Tigers blew a 28-14 second-half lead and had to go to overtime against Louisiana-Monroe. Auburn will have to play much better to have a chance at upsetting No. 3 LSU at Jordan-Hare Stadium next week. 

A possible spot on the bench for: Arkansas Allen. Late in the blowout loss to Alabama, Allen was benched for Brandon Mitchell, who didn't do any better (1 of 7 for 19 yards). Coach John L. Smith will have to choose between those QBs if Wilson remains out with a concussion. Allen threw two interceptions, and nearly a third, while passing for 62 yards.

Why you should care about these stat lines:

1. Alabama's McCarron threw 16 more passes without an INT. The junior has thrown 151 straight passes dating to last season without a pick. If McCarron continues to play mistake-free, it's hard to see the Crimson Tide losing. McCarron was 11 of 16 for 189 and a TD, his seventh scoring pass this season. 

2. Vanderbilt's Carta-Samuels hit 13 of 20 throws for 195 yards and a TD. The junior was a surprise starter over Jordan Rodgers, whose mediocre play contributed to the Commodores' 0-2 start. Rodgers had started nine straight games dating to last season. Although Carta-Samuels played well, any quarterback could have shredded hapless Presbyterian.

3. Georgia's Murray threw for 342 yards. The junior is making an early push for Heisman consideration. He needed just 19 throws to set his career mark for passing yards. Murray passed for two TDs and ran for two.

Key number: 336. That's how many yards Florida ran for in its big win over Tennessee, including 115 by Mike Gillislee and 91 by Trey Burton. The Gators averaged 7.8 yards a carry.
