SEC Notebook: Missouri releases depth chart, Florida going with two QBs

Missouri releases its first depth chart, Florida plans to play both its QBs in the season opener against Bowling Green. Plus other SEC news and notes.

Here are the stories generating headlines in the SEC:

Da'Rick Rogers, the All-SEC wideout suspended indefinitely by Tennessee last week, plans to transfer to Tennessee Tech, according to multiple reports. Rogers would be eligible to play immediately at the FCS school, and would be reunited with his high school teammate Tre Lamb, now the Golden Eagles quarterback.
Auburn coach Gene Chizik announced his starting offensive line, and it includes three new starters: redshirt freshman Greg Robinson (6-6, 311) and true freshman Avery Young (6-6, 295) at the tackles, and sophomore center Tunde Fariyike (6-3, 302), who replaces the suspended Reese Dismukes. Senior guard John Sullen and sophomore guard Chad Slade are returning starters. "Those two guys are good communicators," Chizik told Al.com. "That's a solid foundation for the offensive line."
Missed tackles, and a failure to wrap up, are still plaguing Arkansas' defense. Defensive coordinator Paul Haynes and linebackers coach Taver Johnson have been harping on fundamental tackling, not wanting to see a repeat of Cobi Hamilton's 65-yard TD reception in the Fan Day scrimmage. Hamilton broke three tackles on the play.
Missouri is getting excited about life in the SEC. Coach Gary Pinkel told the Post-Dispatch that "this is the beginning of the new era for Mizzou football forever." He noted that "the passion and intensity level of the fan base is obviously at a whole different level."
Florida's QB battle will continue into the first half of the Gators' opener against Bowling Green on Saturday. Coach Will Muschamp plans to play both Jacoby Brissett and Jeff Driskel for one quarter and then decide who to stick with after halftime.
Missouri released its official depth chart on Monday afternoon. Even though the Tigers list four starters at WR, freshman Dorial Green-Beckham, one of the top recruits in the 2012 class, is not one of them.
CBSSports.com draft analyst Rob Rang looks at South Carolina's top draft prospects for 2012. Not surprisingly, junior RB Marcus Lattimore leads the list, followed by senior DE Devin Taylor.
