The Virginia Tech Hokies are giving their home crowd exactly what it was hoping to see. After three quarters neither squad has the matchup in the bag, but Virginia Tech leads 24-19 over the Miami (FL) Hurricanes.
The Hokies have enjoyed the tag-team combination of QB Hendon Hooker and RB Jalen Holston. The former has accumulated 156 passing yards in addition to rushing for one TD and 69 yards, while the latter has punched in two rushing touchdowns. That touchdown -- a 53-yard rush in the first quarter -- was one of the highlights of the game.
Miami (FL) has been led by RB Cam'Ron Harris, who so far has punched in one rushing touchdown.
