Since we like college football so much here at the Eye on College Football, and a picture is worth a thousand words, what better way to wind our way through the week that was in college football than with a photo diary to document the crazy fans, incredible plays and monumental upsets in the sport? Here's the latest edition covering week 2, with all photos from US Presswire.

For the first time since 1997 Utah State beat "big brother" Utah and did so at home so naturally, that caused everybody to rush the field and celebrate. Naturally, the Aggies mascot is at the center of attention, as you can see:

Brutus is channeling his inner Usain Bolt at the Olympics and took some photos in State" data-canon="Ohio Bobcats" data-type="SPORTS_OBJECT_TEAM" id="shortcode0">'s win against UCF. That earned a salute from one Urban Meyer:

An easy 52-27 romp for Clemson against Ball State featured guys like Andre Ellington (below, right) scoring, so the Tigers' mascot decided to just chill for most of the game:

Auburn coach Gene Chizik looks a wee bit little compared to some of his offensive linemen and probably feels like a small guy after Auburn lost to Mississippi State to start 0-2 this season:

New head coach Kyle Flood picked up his first win at home for Rutgers to the delight of the crowd. The Scarlet Knights also sported these Oregon-esque helmets on Saturday:

It looks like coach Derek Dooley (center) is a puppet master willing Brian Randolph to make a tackle during Tennessee's game against Georgia State:

The Irish Guard leads the Notre Dame Marching Band into the stadium as Touchdown Jesus looks on before the Irish played Purdue:

LA Clipper and former Oklahoma Sooner Blake Griffin (below left) watched his alma mater beat Florida A&M, while heavyweight boxer Evander Holyfield represented Western Kentucky as they played Alabama:

USC quarterback Matt Barkley would like YOU to vote him No. 1 for Heisman:

There's a reason Marquess Wilson of Washington State and De'Anthony Thomas of Oregon are All-American candidates:

The real Mike the Tiger didn't give Washington that many problems, but the LSU defense certainly did. Check out Mike:

Michigan State guard Donavon Clark gets a nose bleed prior to the game against the Central Michigan. Might have to break out the bleach:

TCU won its first game as a member of the Big 12 against Grambling State and opened the renovated Amon G. Carter Stadium:

Kyle Field looked great for Texas A&M's SEC debut while Georgia introduced Missouri to some grown-man football in their conference opener:

Denard Robinson was, um, kind of good while accounting for 101% of Michigan's offense in a 31-25 win over Air Force. UCLA's Brett Hundley went all Derek Jeter with a jump pass against Nebraska:

Iowa State players will enjoy seeing the Cy-Hawk Trophy around their offices after beating Iowa, and Chief Osceola could barely watch the carnage of Florida State vs. Savannah State:

Gotta love this. Sacramento State kicker Edgar Castaneda reacts after kicking the winning field goal with one second left in the 4th quarter against Colorado:

Louisiana-Monroe had the upset of the weekend when it knocked off Arkansas, and a couple of Warhawks fans certainly took home the bacon afterward:

AWESOME CATCH OF THE WEEK

You love Gus Johnson, we love Gus Johnson. So listen to Gus Johnson's call of UCLA receiver Devin Lucien making a crazy catch over a defender:

Bonus:

There's also Southern Utah's Cameron Morgan making a juggling, one-handed catch to complete a Hail Mary against Cal:
