In its first season under Manny Diaz, Duke is off to an impressive 6-1 start. Now the Blue Devils have the opportunity to score a top-25 win with No. 22 SMU coming to Durham.

Just last Friday night, Duke notched its first ever win over Florida State to reach six wins and bowl eligibility. The Blue Devils only totaled 180 yards of offense in that game, and but their defense forced four turnovers. Duke also sacked Florida State quarterbacks six times.

While that was a huge win for the Duke program, the lack of success on offense might wind up being an Achilles heel against an SMU team that has the ability to hang some big numbers on the scoreboard.

The Mustangs have won four straight games, and they just blasted Stanford 40-10 last weekend. Over the course of this winning streak, SMU has scored at least 34 points in each game. In that span, quarterback Kevin Jennings has been on fire. Not only has he thrown for 994 yards, rushed for 184 more and scored nine total touchdowns.

SMU might meet a little more resistance against Duke, which has yet to allow more than 24 points in a single game this fall.
