SMU is the new kid on the block in the ACC, but it stands alone at the top of the conference with a 5-0 record. If the Mustangs keep this up, they'll be in the College Football Playoff, but they have to get past Boston College first.

SMU's only loss of the season was a three-point defeat against BYU, and the team has won six straight games since then. The Mustangs have really taken off since giving Kevin Jennings the reins at quarterback. Jennings has provided a positive impact with his dual-threat ability, throwing for 1,900 yards and rushing for 371 more, and he makes this offense a little more dangerous.

Jennings should be able to keep it up against Boston College, which just allowed Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord to throw for 392 yards last weekend.

Despite beating Syracuse last weekend, Boston College is going through at least a little bit of turmoil ahead of this game. Quarterback Thomas Castellanos has left the team after getting benched in favor of Grayson James, who threw for 51 yards and a score against the Orange.

The bigger concern for the Eagles might be their defense, which has been a little leaky of late, and that cannot happen against a high-powered SMU offense.
