Kadeem Allen: Cut loose by G League team
The G League's Canton Charge waived Allen on Sunday.
Allen was expected to compete for the Charge during the upcoming week at the G League's bubble in Orlando, but he suffered an injury that prompted the team to cut ties. After the Knicks waived him from his two-way deal in the summer, Allen briefly played for a club in France earlier this season before he elected to return to North America when the G League offer was presented to him.

Allen played 117 total minutes for the Knicks across 10 games, totaling 50 points on 44 shots, 21 assists, nine rebounds, five steals and two blocks. He also appeared in 24 G League games, averaging 13.7 points on 12.4 shots, 5.3 assists, 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals.

Knicks' Kadeem Allen: Returns from head injury
Allen (concussion) played 27 minutes for the G League's Westchester Knicks in Friday's 115-109 loss to the Wisconsin Herd. He finished with 14 points (6-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block.
Allen was back in action in the G League after missing nearly two weeks with the head injury. A two-way player, Allen should get some minutes with the parent club before the NBA season concludes in mid-April, but he won't be a regular fixture in interim coach Mike Miller's rotation when the Knicks are relatively healthy in the backcourt.

Knicks' Kadeem Allen: Out with concussion
Allen did not travel with the Knicks to Houston for Monday's game due to a concussion, Chris Iseman of The Bergen Record reports.
Allen has not been apart of the Knicks rotation since early January, so his absence is not expected to make an impact. His next chance to suit up will come Wednesday against the Hornets.

Knicks' Kadeem Allen: Registers 22 points in loss
Allen recorded 22 points (8-22 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 35 minutes in Saturday's G League loss to Canton.
Allen has spent some time with the big club, but now he's returned to his starting role with Westchester. He still finished third on the team in points, thanks in part to shooting more than anyone on the squad. His inefficient shooting has been standard this season, as he's drained 38.1 percent of shots.

Knicks' Kadeem Allen: Steps in as backup point guard
Allen (back) played 21 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 92-85 win over the Pacers, contributing six points (2-2 FG, 2-3 FT), two assists, one rebound and one steal.
The two-way player had missed the G League Westchester Knicks' last two contests on account of a sore back, but he was cleared to return to action for the parent club as it kicked off its February slate. Though he typically hasn't been included in the rotation when he's up with the NBA team, Allen stepped in as the backup to Dennis Smith out of necessity with fellow point guards Elfrid Payton (suspension) and Frank Ntilikina (groin) unavailable. Payton at the very least will be back in action Monday in Cleveland, so Allen will find himself no higher than third on the depth chart.

Knicks' Kadeem Allen: Battling back soreness
Allen didn't play in Monday's G League win over Raptors 905 due to lower back soreness.
Allen has played nine games with the big club this season, but injuries have hampered his chances, as he's also dealt with foot and knee issues. The 27-year-old has played 17 G League games, though, and he's averaged 11.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.1 assists per contest.

Knicks' Kadeem Allen: Produces double-double
Allen posted 27 points (8-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-8 FT), 12 rebounds and five assists across 32 minutes in Tuesday's G League loss to Capital City.
Allen led the team in points while ranking second in rebounds, and he continues to be automatic from the line, as he's made 81.2 percent of free throw this year. The 27-year-old has played nine games at the top level this year as well, so it's fitting that he's leading the team's affiliate.

Knicks' Kadeem Allen: Returns to G League
Allen was assigned to the G League's Westchester Knicks prior to the affiliate's 108-104 win over the Salt Lake City Stars on Saturday. He posted eight points (3-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, six assists and two steals in 28 minutes.
Allen had appeared in each of the NBA team's previous six contests but was sent down to the G League in advance of New York's 90-87 loss to the 76ers on Saturday. The Knicks have Frank Ntilikina healthy again after a brief absence due to a groin injury, so there wasn't much reason for the team to keep Allen -- a two-way player -- around at the NBA level any longer.

Knicks' Kadeem Allen: Logs nine points, six assists
Allen accumulated nine points (4-9 FG, 1-3 FT), six assists, three rebounds and one steal in 20 minutes during Sunday's 135-32 loss to the Clippers.
Allen finished with season highs in assists, rebounding and minutes and matched his season highs in scoring and steals. This was just his third appearance thus far this season, as Allen was injured to begin the campaign and has spent the vast majority of his time in the G League since making his season debut for Westchester back on Nov. 19. If Elfrid Payton (personal) and/or Dennis Smith (oblique) miss Tuesday's matchup, Allen could be called upon once again, though the Lakers are one of the league's top defensive units.

Knicks' Kadeem Allen: Drops 24 in win
Allen scored 24 points (9-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT) while posting six rebounds and five assists in Wedneday's G League win over Santa Cruz.
Allen earned some tread on the big stage during Monday's loss to the Bucks, recording nine points, two assists and a steal. This was the 26-year-old guard's first game back in the G League, and he performed well hitting 64.3 percent of shots and tying for the team lead in points with Ignas Brazdeikis.

Knicks' Kadeem Allen: Returns to New York
Allen was recalled by the Knicks ahead of Monday's game against Milwaukee.
Allen could see his first minutes of the season as both Frank Ntilikina (back) and Elfird Payton (hamstring) are banged up. The 26-year-old averaged 9.9 points, 4.0 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 21.9 minutes for the Knicks a year ago but has struggled with a knee injury in the early going this season.

Knicks' Kadeem Allen: Debuts in G League
Allen (knee) suited up for the G League's Westchester Knicks in the club's 98-96 loss Monday to the Grand Rapids Drive, playing 29 minutes and recording 14 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight assists, four rebounds and one steal.
The 29-minute appearance marked Allen's first outing at the either the G League or NBA level this season, as nagging foot and knee injuries dating back to training camp delayed his 2019-20 debut. Now that he's healthy again, Allen should handle a sizable role for Westchester while occasionally moving up to the NBA squad when extra depth is needed in the backcourt.

Knicks' Kadeem Allen: Not playing Wednesday
Allen (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Magic, Steve Popper of Newsday reports.
Allen had already missed the Knicks' first four games with the right knee issue, but he likely wouldn't have been included in coach David Fizdale's rotation anyway. The 26-year-old's absence looms larger Wednesday, however, as fellow point guards Dennis Smith (personal) and Elfrid Payton (hamstring) have also been ruled out. Allen, one of New York's two two-way players, is currently with the G League's Westchester Knicks for training camp and could continue to rehab his injury with the affiliate.

Knicks' Kadeem Allen: Out Monday
Allen (knee) is out for Monday's contest against Chicago.
It will be the third straight contest to open the season in which the guard will be sidelined for, as Allen continues to recover from right knee soreness. Teammate Elfrid Payton is reportedly starting at point guard. With Dennis Smith (personal) also out Monday, Frank Ntilikina will likely serve as backup versus the Bulls.
