Kendrick Norton: Waived by Dolphins
Norton (arm) was waived with non-football injury designation by the Dolphins on Monday, ESPN.com reports.
The designation will allow Norton to earn a full season's salary after the defensive tackle had to get his left arm amputated earlier in the offseason as a result of a car accident. A seventh-round selection of the Panthers in 2018, Norton was expected to compete for a spot on the 53-man roster this training camp.

Norton (arm) remains in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and his condition was upgraded to stable, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports.
Norton had his left arm amputated after a car crash last week, bringing a tragic end to his NFL career. The 22-year-old has undergone multiple surgeries already and will require at least two more operations. Norton was a seventh-round pick by the Panthers in 2018 and was on the team's practice squad for most of the season before signing with the Dolphins in December.

Dolphins' Kendrick Norton: Injured in car crash
Norton was involved in a "serious" car accident Thursday morning, according to a statement released by the Dolphins' official Twitter account.
According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, Norton sustained multiple injuries, including one to his arm. Andy Slater reports that the injury was serious enough that the arm had to be amputated at the scene. If there's a glimmer of positive news in this, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that the injuries sustained are not life threatening, though it appears unlikely he will be able to play football in 2019 and beyond.
