Browns' Tracy Howard: Will start at free safety
Howard will be the team's starting free safety after Jordan Poyer (kidney) was placed on injured reserve, according to the team's official site.
Howard had only been on the field for a total of 32 snaps during the first five weeks before playing 38 against the Titans in lieu of Poyer. Though inexperienced, the rookie will look to help a squad that ranks 27th in pass defense.

Browns' Tracy Howard: Sitting out Thursday's tilt
Howard will not play in Thursday's preseason game against the Bears due to a hamstring injury, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon-Journal reports.
