The Texans released Little (back) with an injury settlement Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

The 24-year-old stepped in as Miami's starting right tackle after Austin Jackson (ankle) was placed on IR in Week 2. Little should hold onto this role so long as he remains healthy over the next two games.

LIttle (undisclosed) got time at left tackle during recent offseason practices, Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Little was placed on IR last November with an unknown injury. The 2019 second-round selection never played a snap last season after being shipped to Miami via a trade with the Panthers during training camp. Now healthy, Little will work to earn what would likely be a depth role on the Dolphins offensive line.

  • Dolphins' Greg Little: Sent to Miami

Little was traded by the Panthers to the Dolphins in exchange for a 2022 seventh-round pick Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

Little suffered an ankle injury in December that sent him to injured reserve, but he has been healthy in training camp this year. The 23-year-old started three games at left tackle for Carolina in 2020, but the Panthers drafted Brady Christensen and signed Cameron Erving via free agency this offseason, which made Little dispensable. He will now slide in behind Austin Jackson at left tackle for the Dolphins.
