Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Practices fully Tuesday
Kansas City listed Brown (shoulder) as a full participant in Tuesday's practice.
Brown has missed the first 14 games of the season while recovering from mid-September surgery on his left shoulder, but he looks to be closing in on his 2024 debut. He took a step forward Tuesday by taking every rep in practice, after he had been listed as a limited participant in his return to practice last Friday. Earlier Tuesday, head coach Andy Reid confirmed to Adam Teicher of ESPN.com that Brown will have a chance to play this Saturday against the Texans, but Kansas City will likely wait until the end of the week before deciding whether to activate the wideout from IR. If he's available this weekend, Brown could be eased into the mix with a light snap count, but he'll offer the defending champs a downfield threat that the team has been sorely lacking this season.

Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Practice window opening
The Chiefs are opening Brown's (shoulder) practice window Friday, Albert Breer of SI.com reports.
A previous report suggested it would happen either Friday or Monday, after Chiefs coach Andy Reid confirmed earlier this week that Brown was almost ready to practice. Brown won't play against Cleveland this Sunday and might be viewed as a long shot for Week 16, but it seems he'll return before the end of the regular season unless he suffers a setback in practice. There's now a 21-day window in which Brown can practice without being activated to the 53-man roster.

Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Return to practice imminent
Brown (shoulder) has received final clearance to practice and should be designated for return from injured reserve Friday or Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Brown hasn't played this season due to September surgery that was ordered up to repair the left shoulder injury he suffered during the Chiefs' preseason opener on Aug. 10. On Wednesday, coach Andy Reid told Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com that Brown was closing in on a return to practice, so Rapoport's report one day later isn't coming out of thin air. Whenever he's able to practice again, Kansas City will have a 21-day window to evaluate Brown for a potential return to the active roster.

Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Nearing return to practice
Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Wednesday that Brown (shoulder) is "getting close" to practicing and is "champing at the bit" to return, Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com reports.
Reid declined to provide an estimated date for Brown's return and didn't say how much the wideout would need to practice before making his season debut. Since the Chiefs didn't open Brown's 21-day evaluation window Wednesday, he presumably won't be a candidate to return from injured reserve for this Sunday's game in Cleveland, and he probably should be viewed as a longshot for the team's Week 16 game against the Texans. A return at some point over the final two weeks of the regular season could be more realistic for Brown, and if nothing else, the Chiefs seemingly expect him to be a major contributor during the playoffs.

Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: Could play as soon as Week 16
Brown (shoulder) is scheduled for a checkup with his surgeon during Week 15 and could receive clearance to resume practicing thereafter, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Brown has been out all season after suffering a sternoclavicular joint injury to his left shoulder in the Chiefs' Aug. 10 preseason opener and then undergoing surgery in mid-September. Though initial reports after his surgery was performed suggested that Brown would likely miss the entire regular season, the wideout has seemingly avoided any setbacks thus far in the recovery process and looks like he'll have a chance to get in a few tune-up games before the playoffs get underway. If Brown's surgeon is satisfied with the health of his shoulder following the upcoming checkup, the Chiefs will likely open the receiver's 21-day practice window before mapping out a target date for his season debut. Rapoport notes that Brown could be ready for game action as soon as Week 16, when the Chiefs host the Texans on Dec. 21.

Chiefs' Hollywood Brown: May practice in mid-December
The Chiefs hope Brown (shoulder) can return to practice in mid-December, Nate Taylor of the Athletic reports.
Brown had shoulder surgery in mid-September, with reports at the time suggesting he was unlikely to play in the regular season but might return for the playoffs. The wideout now seems he has a chance to play before the end of the regular season, although perhaps only in Weeks 17 and 18.
