The Colts signed Ahmed to their practice squad Wednesday.

Salvon Ahmed: Joins Denver's practice squad
Ahmed was signed to the Broncos' practice squad Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Ahmed was released by the Dolphins with an injury waiver in late August, but he appears to have recovered from the undisclosed injury. With Tyler Badie (back) sidelined for at least the near future, it's possible that Ahmed could earn an elevation to the active roster in the coming weeks.

Salvon Ahmed: Gets injury waiver
Miami released Ahmed (undisclosed) with an injury waiver Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Dolphins' Salvon Ahmed: Moves to NFI list
The Dolphins placed Ahmed (foot) on the active/non-football injury list Thursday.
Ahmed, who re-signed with Miami on a one-year contract early this offseason, will begin training camp on the NFI list. Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that Ahmed's placement on the NFI list is due to a minor medical issue, one unrelated to the season-ending foot injury he sustained last November. He can be activated at any time during training camp or the preseason, once cleared to practice.

Dolphins' Salvon Ahmed: Staying with Miami
Ahmed (foot) agreed Wednesday with the Dolphins on a one-year contract, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The 25-year-old running back has played in 38 games over four seasons since catching on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in 2020, taking 163 carries for 593 yards (3.6 YPC) and five touchdowns and adding 40 catches for 274 yards and another score on 57 targets. Ahmed mostly saw playing time in obvious passing situations in 2023 before a foot injury ended his season in November. The Dolphins haven't provide an update on his recovery or revealed whether he needed surgery. In any case, Ahmed will compete for a depth role during training camp and the preseason.
