Lions' Amik Robertson: Upgraded to full Thursday
Robertson (calf) returned to a full practice Thursday.
Robertson logged 100 percent of the defensive snaps last Monday night against the 49ers and has become an every-down cornerback for the Lions in the two games since Carlton Davis suffered a broken jaw. Over the last two weeks, Robertson has totaled 10 tackles (seven solo), three pass breakups and one forced fumble.

Robertson played 100 percent of the Lions' defensive snaps in Monday night's win over the 49ers, recording two total tackles, one pass defended and one forced fumble. However, it now appears he sustained a calf injury in the process. Robertson finished second on the Lions' defense in total tackles during Sunday's blowout win, trailing Brian Branch's 12-stop performance. The first-year Lion tied his season high in tackles (eight) in Week 16, having now accumulated 43 total tackles, six passes defended and two forced fumbles over 15 appearances. Robertson recorded eight solo tackles and two passes defensed in Monday's 42-29 win over Seattle.
Robertson played a season-high 55 percent of Detroit's defensive snaps, finishing second on the team in tackles behind Kerby Joseph. The 26-year-old is operating as the team's starting slot cornerback, compiling 12 total tackles (11 solo) and four passes defensed over the first four games of 2024.

As of now, the nature and severity of Robertson's injury remain unknown, but the Louisiana Tech product is still eligible to practice or play at any point throughout the preseason. The fifth-year veteran posted 50 total tackles and six passes defended in 2023, and once he returns to full health, he's expected to contribute as one of the Lions' top cornerbacks in his first year with the team.
