Bears' Cole Kmet: Disappointing season concludes
Kmet caught both his targets for three yards in the Bears' 24-22 win over the Packers on Sunday.
Kmet posted a career year in 2023, recording 73 catches on 90 targets for 719 yards and six touchdowns while serving as the de facto No. 2 option in the team's passing attack. The Bears had three quality wide receivers in 2024 however after bringing in Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze to support DJ Moore, while rookie QB Caleb Williams was not an immediate success in the NFL. As a result, Kmet was targeted just 55 times, leading to 474 yards and four touchdowns. In terms of receptions and yardage, this was the tight end's worst season since his rookie campaign in 2020. Kmet will need the Chicago passing attack to take a major step forward under its new coaching staff if he has any hope of being a solid fantasy option again, although if Allen departs in free agency, it could open up more looks for the TE. Kmet is under contract with the Bears through 2027.

Bears' Cole Kmet: Blanked in Thursday's loss
Kmet wasn't targeted in Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Seahawks.
Kmet was far from the only Chicago player to post an underwhelming stat line as the Bears produced just 179 yards of offense en route to a 10th consecutive defeat. The lone target among Chicago's tight ends Thursday went to Gerald Everett. Kmet will look to bounce back Week 18 against a Packers defense that permitted him to catch three passes for 42 yards back in Week 11.

Bears' Cole Kmet: Scores touchdown in losing effort
Kmet caught two passes on two targets for nine yards and a touchdown in the Bears' 34-17 loss to the Lions on Sunday.
Kmet found the end zone for the first time since Chicago's Week 7 bye. In the last three games, the tight end has a total of three receptions on three targets. Kmet has only one game with more than four targets over his last eight contests. Although the veteran is a talented player, his scoring floor remains low due to lack of volume.

Bears' Cole Kmet: One grab in loss
Kmet caught his only target for 14 yards in the Bears' 30-12 loss to the Vikings on Monday.
Kmet has slowed down drastically since the Bears' Week 7 bye. The veteran has produced 14 yards or fewer in five of the last eight games. In addition, Kmet has only seen four targets over the last three games, catching all four for 40 yards. The tight end will remain a risky lineup option in the fantasy playoffs.

Bears' Cole Kmet: Not targeted in Week 14 loss
Kmet didn't see a single target in Chicago's 38-13 loss to the 49ers on Sunday.
Despite the Bears playing from behind all afternoon, Caleb Williams attempted just 23 passes. Chicago simply couldn't move the football versus San Francisco and ran just 52 offensive plays. Kmet was on the field for 92 percent of the offensive downs, and he's played at least 92 percent of the snaps in five consecutive games. That playing time alone keeps him on the fantasy radar ahead of a Week 15 date with the Vikings.
