Addison is sitting out his first game of the campaign due to a sore hamstring that contained him to a pair of limited sessions during Week 5 prep. Meanwhile, fellow WR Justin Jefferson (ankle) is back in action for the first time since the second quarter of a Week 3 victory at Tampa Bay, leaving him as the Vikings' unquestioned No. 1 pass catcher for QB Kyler Murray. Minnesota has a Week 6 bye on tap, so Addison's next chance to suit up is Sunday, Oct. 25 versus the Colts.

Jefferson hasn't played a snap since injuring his left ankle in the second quarter of a Week 3 win at Tampa Bay, but he relayed to Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com on Wednesday that he was determined to suit up for a game in his home state of Louisiana. Limited practices Wednesday through Friday left Jefferson questionable for Week 5 action, and the upcoming workout will determine whether or not he's included among Minnesota's inactives about 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. The same cane be said for fellow WR Jordan Addison (hamstring), which will leave the receiving corps particularly short-handed if both of them are sidelined.

The Vikings activated Jurgens (elbow) from injured reserve Saturday, Craig Peters of the team's official site reports.
Jurgens is still questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints. However, his activation indicates that he has fully recovered from an elbow injury that caused him to open the regular season on injured reserve. Jurgens' return would bolster the Vikings' depth on the offensive line.

Demmings (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Saints.
Demmings was able to log two-straight limited practices to end Week 5 prep. However, the rookie fifth-rounder will miss a second consecutive game due to a hamstring injury he picked up against the Buccaneers in Week 3. Demmings has mostly contributed on special teams this season, but his absence leaves Zemaiah Vaughn as the top rotational option at cornerback behind James Pierre and Isaiah Rodgers.
