Jaren Hall: Let go by Seattle
Hall was cut by the Seahawks on Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official website reports.
Hall spent the entirety of the 2024 campaign with Seattle, the majority of which was spent on the practice squad. The quarterback was elevated multiple times and ultimately signed to the active roster late last season, but he did not appear in a game. Hall appeared in three contests, including a start, with the Vikings in 2023, completing 13 of 20 passes for 168 yards, while adding 14 rushing yards on six carries, but he did lose two fumbles and throw an interception as well. Hall will look for a fresh start ahead of the 2025 season.

Seahawks' Jaren Hall: Emergency QB for Week 17
Hall (coach's decision) is inactive but designated as the emergency quarterback for Thursday night's matchup with the Bears.
The third QB would need starter Geno Smith and backup Sam Howell to get injured, sick or ejected to be able to enter the contest. Hall signed to the Seahawks' practice squad in early September and got elevated to the active roster for the first time in late November, though he has yet to see action this season.

Seahawks' Jaren Hall: Emergency QB for Week 16
Hall (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Vikings, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports.
With Geno Smith dealing with a knee injury, Seattle signed Hall off the practice squad to the active roster to provide insurance at quarterback. Smith has been cleared to play Sunday, and with Sam Howell serving as the backup quarterback, Hall will be the emergency third-string QB. Hall will only see the field if both Smith and Howell are removed from the game due to injury, illness or ejection.

Seahawks' Jaren Hall: Signed to active roster
The Seahawks signed Hall to the active roster from the practice squad Saturday.
Hall has been elevated from the practice squad to serve as the Seahawks' emergency third quarterback in each of the last two games. Starting quarterback Geno Smith is coming off a knee injury suffered during last week's loss to the Packers, so it appears that Seattle wants some extra depth for this Sunday's matchup against Minnesota. Smith doesn't have an injury designation heading into this contest, but Hall and Sam Howell will be on standby in case the starter has to come out any point versus the Vikings.

Jaren Hall: Reverts to practice squad
Hall reverted to the Seahawks' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Hall was inactive for Sunday's game against the Packers, but he was available as the Seahawks' emergency third quarterback behind Geno Smith (knee) and Sam Howell. Smith suffered a right knee injury in the third quarter, and if he's unable to play in Week 16 against the Vikings, Hall could be the Seahawks' backup quarterback behind Howell.
