Packers' John FitzPatrick: Exits locker room in walking boot
FitzPatrick, who injured his Achilles during an overtime loss to Chicago on Sunday, exited the locker room with a walking boot on his right foot after the game, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Achilles injuries tend to be more than minor, especially when they're the non-contact variety, as FitzPatrick's was. It's certainly not a good sign for FitzPatrick's availability moving forward that he left in a walking boot after Saturday's loss, though an official diagnosis may not be announced until after he undergoes further evaluation. Packers coach Matt LaFleur seemed to be resigned to having to look for another tight end to fill FitzPatrick's void for at least the short-term future, saying postgame, "I'm sure we have guys capable on our practice squad. We'll take a look at that and come up with a solution," per Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com.

Packers' John FitzPatrick: Injures Achilles against Bears
FitzPatrick has been ruled out for the remainder of Saturday's Week 16 contest against Chicago due to an Achilles injury.
FitzPatrick suffered what appeared to be a non-contact injury in the second half. Prior to his exit, he drew one passing target, which he didn't catch. Green Bay was already short on tight ends with Josh Whyle (concussion) unable to suit up Saturday. Luke Musgrave is the only healthy player left at the position for Green Bay for the remainder of the NFC North battle.

Packers' John FitzPatrick: Three catches against Denver
FitzPatrick caught three of four targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 34-26 loss to the Broncos.
FitzPatrick finished Week 15 with yet another underwhelming performance despite leading all Packers tight ends in offensive snaps and posting season highs in targets, catches and yards. Teammate Luke Musgrave, however, was the better fantasy option, recording four receptions on six targets for 52 yards. Based on his limited production, FitzPatrick should remain far off the fantasy radar as the Packers get set to visit the Bears in Week 16.

Packers' John FitzPatrick: Tallies two receptions
FitzPatrick was targeted twice and caught two passes for 14 yards in Sunday's 28-21 victory over the Bears.
FitzPatrick led Packers tight ends in snaps for the third time in four games after falling behind both Luke Musgrave and Josh Whyle in Week 13, but as was the case previously, it did not lead to much in the box score. While FitzPatrick has the edge in playing time, Musgrave remains the Packers tight end to consider for fantasy purposes with Tucker Kraft (knee) out for the season.

Packers' John FitzPatrick: Sees one target in Week 13 win
FitzPatrick didn't catch his only target in a 31-24 win over Detroit on Thursday.
FitzPatrick again took the field with Green Bay's starters, but he got exactly one target for the third straight week. After surpassing a 60 percent offensive snap share each of the previous two weeks, he logged just a 24 percent share Thursday, while Luke Musgrave (59 percent) and Josh Whyle (51 percent) worked well ahead of him in the tight-end pecking order. That could be an indication that Whyle is going to eat more into FitzPatrick's opportunities moving forward.

Packers' John FitzPatrick: Makes another start
FitzPatrick was targeted once and caught one pass for 11 yards in Sunday's 23-6 victory over the Vikings.
FitzPatrick was credited with a start for the second time in as many weeks, and he led Packers tight ends in snaps just like he did in Week 11. He's spending far more time on the field than he did before fellow tight end Tucker Kraft (knee) went down, but with two catches for 16 yards over the last two contests it has not been indicated in the box score.

Packers' John FitzPatrick: Leads tight ends in snaps
FitzPatrick was targeted once and caught one pass for five yards in Sunday's 27-20 victory over the Giants.
It may not be obvious in the box score, but FitzPatrick was credited with his first career start Sunday, and he wound up playing 16 more snaps than fellow tight end Luke Musgrave, who was the presumptive top option at the position with Tucker Kraft (knee) out for the season. It remains to be seen how the playing time will be divided among the two -- as well as Josh Whyle, who scored in Week 11 -- moving forward, but none are particularly appealing fantasy options at this point.

Packers' John FitzPatrick: Finishes without target
FitzPatrick was not targeted in Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Panthers.
FitzPatrick played 18 snaps in Week 9 but did not have a pass thrown his direction for the third time in five games. He will likely be more involved moving forward with fellow tight end Tucker Kraft (knee) out for the season, but just how much remains to be seen -- he presumably remains the second option at his position behind Luke Musgrave.

Packers' John FitzPatrick: Notches short reception in win
FitzPatrick corralled his lone target for a four-yard reception Sunday in the Packers' 35-25 win over the Steelers.
FitzPatrick took the field for 22 of the Packers' 64 offensive snaps, with his 34 percent share placing him ahead of Luke Musgrave (19 percent) for second among the team's tight ends. Starter Tucker Kraft continued to lead the way in both playing time (59 snaps) and production (7-143-2 receiving line on nine targets) by a healthy margin, and so long as Kraft stays healthy, FitzPatrick won't have much of an opportunity to see his role on offense expand.

Packers' John FitzPatrick: All set for Week 4
FitzPatrick (groin) was a full participant at practice Friday, Aaron Nagler of Cheesehead TV reports.
FitzPatrick was limited at practice to open the week due to an apparent groin issue, but he now appears to be a full go for Sunday Night Football in Dallas. The tight end has caught all three of his targets for 14 yards and a touchdown over three games this season.

Packers' John FitzPatrick: Limited at practice
FitzPatrick (groin) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice.
FitzPatrick reeled in two passes for 12 yards and a touchdown in the team's 13-10 loss to the Browns in Week 3, but he may have suffered a groin injury in the game. The tight end's ability to practice in any capacity Wednesday is a positive sign, and he'll have two more chances to practice in full ahead of Sunday night's contest in Dallas.

Packers' John FitzPatrick: Tallies first touchdown
FitzPatrick was targeted twice and caught two passes for 12 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 13-10 loss to the Browns.
Starting tight end Tucker Kraft filled his usual role in Week 3 despite picking up a minor knee in practice Thursday, but FitzPatrick still managed to find the end zone for the first time as a professional. FitzPatrick and Luke Musgrave have split backup snaps behind Kraft relatively evenly so far.

Packers' John FitzPatrick: Fills third tight end spot
FitzPatrick was targeted once and caught one pass for two yards in Sunday's 27-13 victory over the Lions.
FitzPatrick was activated rather than fellow tight end Ben Sims and served as the third option at his position behind Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave. FitzPatrick played only two fewer snaps than Musgrave, but chances are he will remain in a bit role as long as the two players ahead of him are available.

Packers' John FitzPatrick: Returns to Green Bay
The Packers signed FitzPatrick to a contract on Monday, NFL.com reports.
FitzPatrick entered the offseason as a restricted free agent but wasn't tendered by Green Bay, and he now re-signs with the team. Across nine regular-season appearances with the Packers in 2024, the tight end secured his only target for two yards. He contributed as a blocker on the majority of his 69 offensive snaps.

Packers' John FitzPatrick: Fits in with Green Bay
FitzPatrick was targeted once and caught one pass for two yards across nine games in the 2024 regular season.
FitzPatrick got some opportunities after being scooped off Atlanta's practice squad in October, but he wound up playing only 69 snaps on offense and was an afterthought in the passing game. It remains to be seen if Green Bay will retain FitzPatrick over the offseason, but if it does, he will compete for a roster spot during training camp.

Packers' John FitzPatrick: Ready for Thursday night
FitzPatrick (back) has no injury designation ahead of Thursday night's matchup against the Lions, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
FitzPatrick was estimated as a full practice participant Tuesday and Wednesday, suggesting he's recovered from his back injury in time to face Detroit on Thursday night. The Georgia product is expected to see minimal offensive work and serve as the Packers' No. 3 tight end in Week 14, playing behind Tucker Kraft and Ben Sims.

Packers' John FitzPatrick: Appears past back injury
FitzPatrick (back) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice.
FitzPatrick played through a back injury in the Packers' Week 13 over the Dolphins this past Thursday, finishing with one catch for two yards while playing 18 snaps (14 on offense, four on special teams). He was limited in Monday's practice, but after logging a full session Tuesday he should be good to go for Thursday's NFC North clash against the Lions.
