Colts' Adetomiwa Adebawore: Takes big step forward in 2025
Adebawore recorded 36 tackles (14 solo), including 4.0 sacks, and a fumble recovery in 17 regular-season games with Indianapolis in 2025.
Adebawore played only minor roles on the Colts' defensive line in 2023 and 2024, but he became a starter in his third year when three-time Pro Bowler DeForest Buckner (neck) missed seven of Indianapolis' last eight games. Adebawore proved himself capable as an interior pass rusher with the elevated snap count, and he may have earned himself some more opportunities alongside Buckner and veteran Grover Stewart in 2026.

Colts' Adetomiwa Adebawore: Makes impact rushing QB
Adebawore had three total tackles, including 0.5 sacks, and two QB hits in Sunday's loss at the Rams.
Adebawore played on just 22 of the defense's 75 snaps as he's working in a reserve role. However, he's shown improvement this year, which may result in a larger role later in the season.

Colts' Adetomiwa Adebawore: Reserve role in season opener
Adebawore had one assisted tackle in Sunday's win over Miami. He played on 13 of the defense's 47 snaps.
Adebawore will work as an interior defensive lineman, so most of his production may be in stuffing the run rather than in the pass rush.

Colts' Adetomiwa Adebawore: Gets first sack of season
Adebawore had two total tackles, including 1.0 sacks, in Sunday's win over Chicago.
It was a rare sack for Adebawore, who had 1.5 sacks in 10 games last season. Adebawore played on just 10 of the defense's 90 snaps but was impactful in the pass rush. He hasn't played more than 31 percent of snaps on defense in the first three games, so it may take an injury for him to get more playing time.

Colts' Adetomiwa Adebawore: Switching positions
Adebawore will switch positions to play defensive tackle, Nate Atkins of the Indianapolis Star reports.
Adebawore played defensive end throughout his college career at Northwestern but is now learning a new three-technique position at defensive tackle heading into his rookie season. The 22-year-old will look to adjust to the position change and likely serve as depth behind DeForest Buckner and Grover Stewart during the 2023 campaign.

Colts' Adetomiwa Adebawore: Adds to Indy's edge corps
The Colts selected Adebawore in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 110th overall.
Adebawore came into this week considered a likely Day 2 pick, so Indianapolis landing him early Day 3 is a solid value. The Northwestern edge lacks ideal height at 6-foot-1, but he is dense (282 pounds) and tough to move off his spot. He ran an impressive 4.49 in the 40-yard dash at the combine and logged five sacks in 2022. He projects to play defensive end in Indianapolis' front.
