Angels manager Ron Washington said Monday that he expects Rendon (back) to return to the lineup Tuesday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
He's out of the lineup for a second straight contest Monday due to left side back soreness, but Washington said holding Rendon out is a precautionary measure. The veteran third baseman is slashing an anemic .218/.307/.267 over 238 plate appearances this season.
