The Angels placed Pillar on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a sprained left thumb.
Pillar likely picked up the injury during Friday's game against Texas after he replaced Jo Adell (oblique) in the second inning. With Adell joining Pillar on the injured list, Jordyn Adams and Bryce Teodosio were added to the 28-man active roster and should see plenty of work in the outfield.
