Ohtani will likely make one more start on the mound this season, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.
Ohtani was impressive in his last start Sunday against the Athletics, surrendering two runs and fanning 10 across eight innings of work. Skipper Joe Maddon does expect Ohtani to start once more in 2021, though he also notes the 26-year-old typically experiences soreness two days after he toes the rubber. Ohtani's usage on the mound the rest of this season figures to be determined by how his body responds to Sunday's outing.
