Escobar (oblique) felt discomfort in his strained oblique for the second time during his rehab assignment and has no timetable for a return, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
What appeared to be a short DL stint has turned into a month-long absence for the veteran third baseman. The Angels are in no rush to activate Escobar with C.J. Cron and Luis Valbuena both playing well in his absence. It is unclear what the club plans to do with the 30-year-old, but it doesn't sound like he is returning anytime soon.
