The Astros optioned Wilson to Triple-A Sugar Land on Wednesday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
With Alex Bregman (hamstring/quadriceps) returning from the 10-day injured list, Aledmys Diaz will move into a utility role, which leaves no room on the Houston bench for Wilson. Since getting a call-up from Sugar Land on Aug. 6, Wilson appeared in six games and went 2-for-13 with two runs and an RBI.
