The Astros outrighted Wilson to Triple-A Sugar Land on Monday, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.
Houston exposed Wilson to waivers in order to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for pitcher Zack Greinke, who is expected to be reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list ahead of his scheduled start Tuesday against the Rangers. The 31-year-old utility man will remain in the organization after none of MLB's other 29 organizations were willing to use a waiver claim on him.
