Singleton went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Red Sox.

Singleton's blast helped the Astros erase a three-run deficit in the first inning. That was his lone successful moment Tuesday, as he struck out in his other three at-bats. The first baseman has gone 9-for-32 (.281) in August, but he's been losing playing time to a combination of Zach Dezenzo and Yainer Diaz over the last week. Once Alex Bregman (elbow) returns, Shay Whitcomb may also enter the mix at first base, further impacting Singleton's role. For the season, Singleton is slashing .235/.315/.371 with 11 homers, 33 RBI, 40 runs scored and seven doubles over 96 contests.
