Singleton is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.
The lefty-hitting Singleton will take a seat for the third time in four games, with two of those absences coming against right-handed pitching. The 32-year-old has managed an underwhelming .591 OPS since the All-Star break and looks to have ceded primary duties at first base to rookie Zach Dezenzo.
