Hader walked one in one-third of an inning Tuesday to record his 23rd save of the season in a 4-2 win over the Rangers.
The Houston closer didn't look like he would be needed as his team cruised into the ninth inning ahead 4-0 and with Framber Valdez hunting for a no-hitter, but a two-out, two-run homer by Corey Seager changed the equation. Hader has been scored upon just once in his last 11 appearances, posting a 2.61 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 15:7 K:BB through 10.1 innings over that stretch, and his only blown save of the season came back on April 2.
