McCullers (shoulder) will pitch in an extended spring training game Wednesday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
On the heels of a successful bullpen session Friday, McCullers now heads to extended spring to face live hitters. The expectation is that he will throw approximately three innings. The team decided to hold off on McCullers' rehab assignment after he had some trouble bouncing back from a throwing session, but he could join an affiliate in short order if Wednesday's outing goes well.
