The Astros optioned Leon to Triple-A Sugar Land on Monday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
After starting three straight games upon his recall earlier this month, Leon had been in the lineup just three times over the last 11 contests. He went just 2-for-20 with 10 strikeouts during his first stint in the big leagues.
