The Astros activated Garcia from their taxi squad Tuesday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Garcia has hit .204 with six doubles, three home runs and 10 RBI at Triple-A Sugar Land since being optioned Aug. 6. His big-league slash line of .151/.216/.208 this season doesn't exactly demand a call-up, but Zack Greinke and Taylor Jones landing on the COVID-19 injured list opened a couple 26-man spots on the eve of roster expansions.
