Arrighetti (5-10) earned the win against the Red Sox on Saturday, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk with 13 strikeouts over seven innings.
After striking out 12 batters Sunday, Arrighetti set a new career high Saturday while generating 21 swinging strikes on 92 pitches. The rookie's 5.14 ERA and 1.45 WHIP are still unsightly, but he has logged four quality starts in his past five outings with a 43:9 K:BB across 31 innings. He'll try to keep the good times rolling in a favorable matchup against the White Sox next week.
