Alvarez (neck) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
It's the third straight game on the bench for Alvarez as he continues to battle neck discomfort. The 27-year-old should continue to be considered day-to-day heading into Monday's series opener at Philadelphia. Mauricio Dubon, Chas McCormick and Ben Gamel will start across the outfield Sunday while Yainer Diaz serves as the designated hitter.
