Adams (forearm) is scheduled to throw bullpen sessions Tuesday and Friday, MLB.com reports.
The right-hander has been on the shelf for just over two weeks, having hit the IL on Aug. 18. The Athletics will wait to see how Adams emerges from the two bullpen sessions before a decision is made on whether to send him on a rehab assignment for the tail end of the minor-league season. Adams has been a valuable sixth- and seventh-inning option for manager Mark Kotsay all season, making 56 appearances and recording a win and 22 holds along the way.
