Estes (7-8) took the loss Monday against the Cubs, allowing six runs on nine hits with one strikeout in one inning.

Estes got out of the first inning only allowing one run, but he allowed six straight hits to start the second inning before being pulled. It was Estes' shortest outing of his career, and his ERA jumped to 4.78 after the ugly night. The 22-year-old had been having a strong second half of the season, pitching to a 3.29 ERA since the All-Star break. He'll look to bounce back in his next start against the Yankees later this week.
