Manager Mark Kotsay said Wednesday that Andujar will miss the rest of the season as a result of his core-muscle injury, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.
Andujar landed on the injured list earlier Wednesday, and he will need to undergo surgery to address the issue. The 29-year-old outfielder will close the book on 2024 with a .285 average and .697 OPS alongside four home runs and 30 RBI over 75 games. Daz Cameron, who has started in left field in both of Oakland's last two games, figures to take over as Andujar's primary replacement going forward.
