Nevin went 2-for-4 with an RBI groundout, a double and two walks in a win over the Mets on Thursday.

Nevin started on consecutive days for the first time since July 27-28 and made good use of the opportunity. The veteran's sixth-inning groundout scored JJ Bleday to knot the score at 6-6, while the double was his first extra-base hit since July 28. Nevin has seen time at corner infield and corner outfield in addition to designated hitter this season, and his versatility should continue affording him occasional playing time despite his .210 batting average and .658 OPS across 217 plate appearances.
