Bassitt came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 10-9 loss to the Phillies, giving up four runs (three earned) on 10 hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out seven.
The right-hander got staked to an early 6-1 lead and exited the game with the Blue Jays still in the lead, but the bullpen couldn't make it hold up. Bassitt is still looking for his 10th win of the season -- in nine starts since the All-Star break he's posted a sharp 56:14 K:BB in 49.2 innings, but it's led to just a 5.98 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and a 1-6 record. He'll look for a better result in his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home early next week against the Mets.
