Varsho, who was placed on the 10-day injured list due to a shoulder strain Tuesday, will undergo surgery on his rotator cuff as soon as possible, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.
Varsho has been played through the injury for an undisclosed period and will miss the final couple weeks of the regular season. Assuming the 28-year-old is able to get the procedure relatively soon, he should have enough recovery time to be healthy for the start of spring training. Varsho had an underwhelming .214/.293/.407 slash line in 136 games this year, though he still provided some value for fantasy managers with 18 homers, 10 stolen bases, 58 RBI and 73 runs.
