The Blue Jays selected De Los Santos' contract from Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday.
With Bo Bichette (calf) and Isiah Kiner-Falefa (knee) on the injured list and with Justin Turner having recently been traded to the Mariners, De Los Santos will help the Blue Jays replenish some depth in the infield. The 26-year-old is up in the big leagues for the first time after slashing .243/.393/.400 with three home runs and two stolen bases in 89 plate appearances with Buffalo on the season. De Los Santos is capable of playing all four infield spots.
