Atlanta will grant Santana's release from Triple-A Gwinnett and he will become a free agent Sunday, per Jeff Passan of ESPN.com.
Santana will look to get a major-league opportunity elsewhere when he is released from Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday. The 40-year-old slashed .292/.385/.382 with two home runs in 104 plate appearances with Gwinnett this season. If Santana is able to latch on with another team, it will be his third different organization this season.
