Ray was placed on the 7-day minor-league injured list with a quadriceps injury Friday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
Ray had recorded hits in each of his last five games with Triple-A Nashville, but he'll now be sidelined due to his quad issue. It's not yet clear when the 26-year-old will be able to return to action.
