The veteran right-hander was pulled after 82 pitches as Milwaukee looks to keep its starting rotation fresh for the playoffs. The Mets managed to score both their runs in the fourth inning via a two-run homer by Mark Vientos. This marks the third time Montas has not managed to reach the fifth frame since joining the Brewers on July 30 while making 11 starts with his new club. Overall, the 31-year-old owns a 4.55 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 70:25 K:BB across 57.1 innings with Milwaukee.
