Bauers is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.
The Brewers are facing off against a left-hander (Chris Sale) for the fourth time in six games, and the lefty-hitting Bauers has found himself on the bench for each of those contests. He still looks to have a hold on a strong-side platoon role while Christian Yelich (back) is on the shelf, but Bauers will cede his spot in the lineup to Gary Sanchez on Wednesday.
