  • Brewers' Quinn Priester: Returned from rehab assignment

The Brewers returned Priester (shoulder) from his rehab assignment at the Arizona Complex League on Thursday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Priester has struggled to gain any sort of momentum during his rehab outings, posting a 21.60 ERA in 10 innings between Triple-A and High-A, and more recently giving up three earned runs on one hit and five walks in 2.2 innings during his latest appearance in rookie ball. It's unknown what his next steps will be now that his rehab assignment has been paused, but he doesn't appear to be anywhere near a return to Milwaukee's rotation.

  • Brewers' Lyon Richardson: Nabs MiLB pact with Brewers

The Brewers signed Richardson to a minor-league contract Thursday, Jim Goulart of BrewerFanatic.com reports.

Richardson elected free agency last week after being booted off the Reds' 40-man roster. The 26-year-old holds a career 6.67 ERA and 46:39 K:BB over 56.2 innings covering parts of four seasons at the major-league level. Richardson will report to the Brewers' Arizona Complex League affiliate for now but should move up to Triple-A Nashville soon.

  • Brewers' Gary Sanchez: Knocks seventh homer

Sanchez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Athletics.

Sanchez collected his second multi-hit effort in a row. It's also his second straight game with a homer after he went 27 contests without a long ball. The backup catcher is batting .219 with an .845 OPS, seven homers, 19 RBI, 20 runs scored, four doubles, one triple and no stolen bases over 130 plate appearances this season. While his power looks to be coming back, Sanchez is no real threat to William Contreras' playing time.

  • Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Homers again Wednesday

Chourio went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Athletics.

Chourio went deep for his second homer in as many games. The outfielder has collected six multi-hit efforts over 10 games in June, batting .386 (17-for-44) this month. He's up to six homers, 20 RBI, 24 runs scored, five stolen bases and 11 doubles while hitting .304 with an .872 OPS across 32 contests this season.

  • Brewers' Brandon Sproat: Submits second quality start

Sproat allowed a run on four hits and a walk while striking out three over six innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Wednesday.

Sproat was able to navigate Las Vegas Ballpark with little trouble, with the lone run on his line being an Alika Williams solo shot in the sixth inning. This was just the second quality start of the year for Sproat, who had given up at least three runs in each of his last five starts. For the season, he's at a 5.70 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 57:30 K:BB across 13 appearances (11 starts). Sproat is likely to get another start while the Brewers wait for Brandon Woodruff (shoulder) and Logan Henderson (back) to get healthy. That outing is tentatively projected to be at home versus the Guardians.

  • Brewers' Garrett Mitchell: Riding pine Wednesday

Mitchell isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

Mitchell will get a chance to rest his legs Wednesday after going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and scoring twice during Tuesday's loss. Jake Bauers, Jackson Chourio and Sal Frelick will start across the outfield while Mitchell is on the bench.

  • Brewers' Luis Rengifo: Resting up Wednesday

Rengifo isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

Rengifo will move to the bench to begin Wednesday's series finale after going 1-for-7 with two walks, a run and four strikeouts across the first two games. David Hamilton will shift to third base as a result, giving Joey Ortiz a start at shortstop.

  • Brewers' William Contreras: Sitting down Wednesday

Contreras isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

Contreras will grab a seat on the bench after going 0-for-4 with three strikeouts during Tuesday's loss. His absence will give Gary Sanchez a start behind home plate, batting sixth.

  • Brewers' Jared Koenig: Could return next week

Koenig (elbow) transferred his rehab assignment to Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday and could be activated from the injured list in about a week, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

The left-hander landed on the shelf with an elbow sprain in early April and has allowed one run on six hits with a 2:4 K:BB across 4.2 frames in five rehab appearances. The Brewers will likely look to pitch Koenig on back-to-back days at Nashville before reinstating him from the IL.

  • Brewers' Brandon Woodruff: Throws 68 pitches in rehab start

Woodruff (shoulder) allowed three runs on five hits and two walks over 3.2 innings in his first rehab start with the Brewers' Arizona Complex League affiliate Tuesday.

The bottom-line results aren't what you want, but Woodruff did strike out five and got his pitch count up to 68. Per Jack Stern of BrewerFanatic.com, Woodruff averaged a shade under 91 mph between his four-seamer and sinker, which is down from his season average of 92.2 mph but up significantly from the mid-80s he was throwing in his final start before going on the injured list in late April. Woodruff is working on a lower arm slot, and he might need a couple more rehab outings to get comfortable before he rejoins the Milwaukee rotation.

  • Brewers' Garrett Mitchell: Two doubles in three-hit game

Mitchell went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Athletics.

Mitchell didn't get in on the fun in Monday's slugfest, going 0-for-6 with three strikeouts. He bounced back with his third multi-hit effort of the month Tuesday. The outfielder is hitting .346 (9-for-26) over seven games in June, lifting his average to .247 for the season. Mitchell has added a .758 OPS, three home runs, six stolen bases, 31 RBI, 26 runs scored, 12 doubles and two triples through 56 contests. He continues to hold down the strong side of a platoon in center field, though he had started against southpaws in the two games prior to Tuesday's matchup against righty J.T. Ginn.

  • Brewers' Jackson Chourio: Early homer in loss

Chourio went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 7-5 loss to the Athletics.

Chourio's blast opened the scoring in the top of the first inning, but the Athletics had more power as the game went on. The outfielder has hit well to start June, going 15-for-39 (.385) over his first nine games this month. Overall, he's batting .301 with an .852 OPS, five homers, 19 RBI, 23 runs scored, five stolen bases and 11 doubles across 31 contests this season.

  • Brewers' Robert Gasser: Lit up for six runs

Gasser (0-3) allowed six runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out seven over five innings to take the loss versus the Athletics on Tuesday.

The hitter-friendly Las Vegas Ballpark has lived up to its reputation in the first two games of this series. Gasser gave up all six runs he allowed on four home runs, and the Brewers weren't able to bail him out. Through four starts this season, Gasser has had mixed results at best. He's posted a 6.38 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 19:9 K:BB while allowing six homers across 18.1 innings. The bottom half of Milwaukee's rotation is still in flux, so it's not obvious when Gasser will make his next appearance, especially since the team has off days Thursday and Monday.

  • Brewers' Trevor Megill: Managing side tightness

Megill wasn't available to pitch in Monday's game against the Athletics due to oblique tightness, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Megill is slated to play catch before Tuesday's contest, and if all goes well, he's expected to be available to pitch. The 32-year-old gave up two earned runs during his last outing Friday against the Rockies to increase his ERA to 4.70 through 23 frames, though he still boasts a career-best 1.62 FIP.

  • Brewers' Brian Fitzpatrick: Shifted to 60-day IL

Fitzpatrick (elbow) was shifted to the 60-day injured list Tuesday, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Fitzpatrick was placed on the 15-day IL with a left UCL strain Saturday, and the southpaw may need to undergo Tommy John surgery. Regardless of whether surgery is necessary, the 26-year-old will now be sidelined until at least early August. The transaction clears room for outfielder Luis Lara on the 40-man roster after Milwaukee inked the 21-year-old to a fresh seven-year, $31 million contract extension Tuesday.

  • Brewers' DL Hall: Targeting late-July return

The Brewers expect Hall to return from his left pec strain in late July, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Hall was originally expected to return sometime around the All-Star break when he first landed on the IL on Friday, but the team has since determined that he will require a slightly longer recovery. Hall had been enjoying a career year before getting injured, posting a 2.03 ERA and 1.23 WHIP over 31 innings.

  • Brewers' Quinn Priester: Moves to 60-day IL

The Brewers transferred Priester (shoulder) from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL on Saturday.

Priester has been on the shelf all season while recovering from symptoms of thoracic outlet syndrome, so his move to the 60-day IL was merely procedural. The right-hander remains in the midst of a rehab assignment, but he's shown little sign of regaining the form that made him a vital part of the Milwaukee rotation in 2025. After struggling to a 21.60 ERA and 3.60 WHIP over 10 innings in six rehab starts between High-A Wisconsin and Triple-A Nashville from April 22 through May 27, Priester recently had his assignment transferred to the Arizona Complex League. He was once again lacking in command in his second appearance in the ACL on Monday, spotting just 35 of his 73 pitches for strikes over 2.2 innings while generating four punchouts and yielding three earned runs on one hit and five walks. He also hit a batter and threw three wild pitches.
