The Brewers re-signed Ornelas to a minor-league contract Tuesday, Francys Romero of BeisbolFR.com reports.
Ornelas elected free agency last week after being removed from the Brewers' 40-man roster, but he's back in the organization on a new deal. The 26-year-old has hit .203/.253/.230 hitter over 80 plate appearances in the majors and will report to Triple-A Nashville.
