Hiura was recalled by the Brewers on Monday.
Hiura was sent to Triple-A Nashville at the beginning of May, and he slashed .438/.526/.906 with three home runs, seven RBI and two stolen bases in nine minor-league games. Hitting the ball hard has never been a problem for Hiura, but it is a bit concerning that he struck out at a 34.2 percent clip during this latest run at Triple-A. The Brewers would like him to cement himself as the primary first baseman, but Daniel Vogelbach could still see some starts against righties until Hiura rounds into form.
