Hoskins will serve as the designated hitter and bat sixth in Friday's game against the White Sox.
Hoskins has been out since May 13 due to a right hamstring strain, and he'll jump back into the lineup after being activated off the injured list Friday. He'll face off against White Sox right-hander Erick Fedde.
