Del Castillo went 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, three RBI and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 14-4 win over the Rangers.
After the Rangers plated two runs in the top of the fifth inning, Del Castillo responded immediately with a three-run blast. He continues to split time behind the dish with Jose Herrera until Gabriel Moreno (thigh) is ready to return. The injured Moreno ramped up his activity this week, and the Diamondbacks are hoping for his return by mid-September. After an explosive debut to his MLB career -- three homers, 14 RBI in his first 48 at-bats -- Del Castillo has cooled off and entered Wednesday's contest hitting .130 (3-for-23) over the previous eight games.
