Thomas isn't in the Diamondbacks' lineup Thursday versus the Phillies.
With left-hander Kolby Allard slated to throw the first pitch for Philadelphia, the left-handed-hitting Thomas will take a seat to begin Thursday's contest. Jake McCarthy will fill in as Arizona's center fielder and bat second while Thomas rests.
